In his fortieth year of teaching theology at Xavier University in Cincinnati, Fr. Overberg has an A.B. in philosophy, and an M.Div. —both from Loyola University of Chicago—and a Ph.D. in religion/social ethics from the University of Southern California.
Along with having authored ten books, sixty articles, and nearly a hundred columns for the archdiocesan newspaper, Fr. Overberg has been presiding and preaching for almost four decades at his local Jesuit parish of St. Robert Bellarmine. He is a popular speaker in the Archdiocese of Cincinnati and elsewhere.
